Kazakhstan’s Planned Refinery Targets Fuel Self-Sufficiency by 2033

Kazakhstan plans to bring a fourth refinery online by 2033, aiming to remove recurring domestic fuel shortages and transition to net fuel exports, according to comments from Vice Energy Minister Kaiyrkhan Tutkyshbayev cited by The Caspian Post. The project, designed to process 10 million tons of crude annually, could support regional demand dynamics and eventually influence flows of Oil – Brent Crude and Oil – US Crude in Eurasian markets.
