Big Tech Takes Center Stage at CES 2026
Intel Corporation (INTC) will start the week by launching its new Panther Lake chips, branded as Core Ultra Series 3. These chips are Intel’s first built on its 18A process, which the firm says is equivalent to 2 nanometers in scale. Intel claims up to a 50% gain in both CPU and GPU speed compared to older models. In addition, the chips include new core designs, stronger graphics, and lower power use aimed at AI PCs. As a result, this launch is seen as a key step in Intel’s effort to improve its product lead.
Later that day, Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang will give a keynote at 1 p.m. Pacific time. His talk is expected to focus on AI across data centers, cloud tools, and consumer devices.
After that, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su will speak at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time. Her update is expected to cover Ryzen chips, Radeon graphics, and EPYC server parts tied to AI growth. Together, these talks highlight how AI remains the core theme for chip makers in 2026.
Clear Direction for Tech in 2026
Overall, CES 2026 shows how chip makers and hardware firms are moving in the same clear direction. Across CPUs, GPUs, and PCs, the focus remains on AI speed, power savings, and broad use cases. At the same time, display makers are pushing color and brightness to support premium demand.
For investors, the event offers a clear snapshot of where product plans and spending priorities are heading in 2026.
