Cathie Wood Wraps Up 2025 with New Biotech Buys — Here’s What It Sold

On the last trading day of 2025, Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest ETFs (exchange-traded funds) made several portfolio moves across biotech and growth stocks. The December 31 trades followed the same pattern as the day before, with ARK adding to biotech names such as Beam Therapeutics (BEAM) and Twist Bioscience (TWST), while trimming positions in Roku (ROKU), Shopify (SHOP), and Rocket Lab (RKLB).

Which Stocks Did Wood Buy on December 31?

On the buying side, ARK made its largest move by adding again to Beam Therapeutics. The firm bought 90,093 shares across the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) and the ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG), worth about $2.5 million in total. The buy came one day after ARK picked up 46,376 Beam shares for about $1.29 million, showing stronger confidence in the stock as the firm moves into 2026.

That buying continued with Twist Bioscience. ARK purchased 32,709 shares worth roughly $1.05 million across ARKK and ARKG. The firm had added more shares earlier in the week, suggesting it is building a longer-term position rather than making short-term trades.

ARK also added to Intellia Therapeutics (NTLA), buying 90,801 shares valued at about $823,000. The move fits with ARK’s steady focus on gene-editing and genomics stocks.

Outside biotech, ARK made a smaller move in autonomous technology. The firm bought 28,263 shares of Kodiak AI (KDK) through the ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF (ARKQ).

ARK Trims Roku and Other Holdings

On the selling side, ARK continued to cut back on Roku, selling 15,429 shares worth about $1.7 million. The move followed recent trims in the stock, pointing to a slow pullback rather than a full exit.

ARK also reduced its stake in Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS), selling 8,843 shares for roughly $698,000.

Additional sales included Shopify and Rocket Lab (RKLB), both of which have faced steady selling from ARK in recent weeks.
