Cathie Wood made several notable trades across her ARK ETFs on Friday, December 5, as daily trade filings showed new selling in two key “Magnificent 7” stocks, Tesla (TSLA) and Meta (META). At the same time, ARK bought new shares in Baidu (BIDU) and The Trade Desk (TTD). The filings indicate Wood is redirecting capital from crowded large-cap trades to mid-cap tech stocks she sees as better positioned for 2026.

Wood Continues to Trim Stakes in TSLA and META
The biggest reduction came from Tesla, where ARK sold 37,878 shares through the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK). The sale was worth $17.2 million and extended a steady trend of trimming one of Wood’s long-time high-conviction holdings.
ARK also cut its stake in Meta, selling 9,200 shares for about $6.1 million. Meta has now been reduced several times over the past few sessions, reflecting a steady shift away from mega-cap tech.
ARK continued to unwind positions in other names as well. The fund sold 223,158 shares of Iridium Communications (IRDM) for $3.9 million and offloaded 195,141 shares of Adaptive Biotechnologies (ADPT) through ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG) for about $3.4 million.
Wood Loads Up on Baidu, TTD, and Other Names
On the buying side, Baidu was one of the biggest additions. ARK bought 119,982 Baidu shares worth $14.24 million through ARKK. The move adds fresh exposure to a major AI and cloud name in China after being careful about that market for most of the year.
Wood also purchased 180,445 shares of Trade Desk, split across ARKK and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW), for about $7.1 million. ARK has been adding to its Trade Desk position as digital ad spending picks up and more advertisers look for targeted, AI-based tools.
Beyond the headline trades, ARK also increased exposure to several other growth names:
- GeneDx (WGS): Bought 51,496 shares across ARKK and ARKG worth $8.34 million
- WeRide (WRD): Added 35,991 shares through ARKQ for about $336,875
- Robinhood (HOOD): Picked up 9,400 shares valued at $1.29 million
The additional buys show continued interest in AI, autonomous driving, and next-generation fintech.
