Duke Energy shares slipped as investors reacted to news that chief financial officer Brian Savoy is taking on additional responsibilities outside the company. Some traders worry that a key financial leader may be distracted, even though such board roles are common for top executives.
The company said Savoy has been elected to Flowserve’s board of directors, effective March 16. He will also serve on Flowserve’s audit and technology, innovation and risk committees, expanding his influence in the industrial sector.
