Capcom 2025 Gameplan: Diving into the Latest Releases, Rumors & Leaks

The new year is almost here and gamers and investors are both excited about companies releasing new video games. That includes Capcom (CCOEY), which has undergone strong growth in recent years through its release of new AAA titles alongside remasters and remakes of its previous games.

Stay Ahead of the Market:

2025 is currently looking a bit bare for the video game developer as it only has two major titles officially announced for release. Monster Hunter Wilds will be its first big game of the year with a Feb. 28, 2025 release date. This is the latest entry in Capcom’s Monster Hunter series, which started on the PlayStation 2 and has players taking on the role of hunters tracking and defeating monsters.

The next game with a planned 2025 release is Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which doesn’t have a hard launch date yet. This game is a collection of previous titles released by Capcom, including some made in collaboration with rival fighting game developer SNK.

Capcom 2025 Video Game Rumors & Leaks

Turning outside the realm of official, we have plenty of rumors about what Capcom will release in 2025. A previously leaked image claimed that Capcom will release Resident Evil 9 this year, and also hints at a possible downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon’s Dogma II called The Dragon Princess, which was expected late this year but may have been delayed, or never existed.

Outside of this potential leak, other rumors claim that more Capcom remakes and remasters will come out in 2025. Chief among these is a potential remake in the Resident Evil series. The exact entry is unknown but some leaks claim Resident Evil 5 will get the remake treatment this year.

Capcom also noted interest in revitalizing the Mega Man series this year, but there are no known plans for releases in 2025. Even so, fans are hopeful for collections of the Legends and Star Force series, as well as a potential new entry.

Is Capcom Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
