Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping events of the year, with online sales estimated to grow by 8.3% in 2025 to a record $11.7 billion, according to Adobe’s (ADBE) Holiday Shopping Report.

Cyber Week, which begins on Thanksgiving and ends on Cyber Monday, is expected to bring in $43.7 billion of online sales, up by 6.3% and drive 17.2% of total holiday season spending. The period is already off to a good start, with Thanksgiving sales growing by 4.9% to $6.4 billion.
2025 Holiday Season Sales to Exceed $250 Billion
Adobe estimates that the 2025 holiday season, which begins on November 1 and ends on December 31, will generate $253.4 billion in sales, up by 5.3%. From November 1 to November 27, sales have grown by 6.8% to $99.6 billion. Of the sales, $52.2 billion was made on mobile devices, rising by 6.4% and showing that consumers are increasingly using mobile devices to shop.
Furthermore, shopping with the assistance of AI has skyrocketed by 725%, with 67.8% of referrals made on a desktop and 32.2% on mobile devices. Payments made using a buy now, pay later (BNPL) method are also on the rise this holiday season, growing by 10.3% to $7.4 billion.
