In fact, on January 19, 2021, the day of President Biden’s inauguration, the markets soared. On that day, the market rallied to a record close, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composites reaching new highs. Today, on Trump’s second inauguration day, the markets are closed, so we will have to wait until Tuesday, January 21 to see the effect of his new presidency on the stock market.
