Tech giant Apple (AAPL) is working on a new feature that would allow Siri to handle multiple requests at once, which would be a major upgrade for the nearly 15-year-old assistant. According to Bloomberg, this feature is being developed for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, which are expected to be released later this year. Instead of asking Siri to do one task at a time, users could combine actions into a single request, like checking the weather, setting a calendar event, and sending a message all at once.

Apple is expected to show off these updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, although the rollout has already been delayed several times due to technical challenges. In addition, Apple is redesigning Siri to work more like a chatbot by launching a standalone app and adding features that can pull and summarize information from the web. As a result, these improvements could make Siri much more useful as a daily tool.
While it already supports follow-up requests without repeating “Hey Siri,” each task still has to be done separately, which feels outdated compared to tools like ChatGPT and Google’s (GOOGL) Gemini. With this upgrade, Siri could handle more complex commands, like finding a photo, editing it, and sending it in one step. Apple is also testing improvements to its keyboard, including smarter autocorrect suggestions, and expanding Siri’s ability to connect with third-party apps.
