Among the key voices is Ronald Josey, who reiterated his Buy rating on Meta with an $850 price target, signaling substantial upside from current levels. Josey sees continued growth as Meta refines its ranking and recommendation systems, builds out compute capacity, and potentially reallocates operational costs to support long‑term expansion.

Josey notes that even with heavy spending on operating expenses and AI infrastructure, Meta’s engagement and monetization trends remain solid across its platforms. He highlights Meta’s push toward personal superintelligence and new Frontier Models like Avocado as longer‑term catalysts that could extend the company’s growth runway.

AI efficiency gains are another pillar of his optimism, with Meta reporting roughly a 30% increase in output per engineer thanks to wider use of agentic coding tools. While recent reports point to a possible 20% workforce reduction, Josey doubts cuts of that magnitude and suggests any savings would likely be reinvested in core priorities such as infrastructure, monetization, Reality Labs, and generative AI.

On the monetization front, improvements in Meta’s ranking and recommendation engines are already showing up in user behavior and ad quality metrics. Josey points to strong growth in Instagram Reels U.S. watch time, higher Facebook video time, and a double‑digit improvement in Facebook ad quality as signs that Meta still has a long runway ahead for increasing both engagement and revenue per user.
