AMC Entertainment noted that the strong attendance over the weekend came from several standout films, including Avatar: Fire and Ash, which was the domestic leader in the U.S. Other films that performed well domestically include Marty Supreme, Zootopia 2, the Housemaid, and Anaconda. All of these films pulled in at least $14 million each. Internationally, some 1.7 million people attended movies at the company’s ODEON Cinemas locations, making it the busiest weekend for AMC internationally.

AMC Chairman and CEO Adam Aron said, “We are delighted that moviegoers, friends, and families continue to choose AMC to spend their holiday time, year after year. Seeing such a wide variety of films performing so well for multiple weeks in a row reinforces our belief that a robust and diverse theatrical slate benefits everyone; it’s great for AMC and all of theatrical exhibition, it’s great for our studio partners, and most importantly, it’s great for moviegoers seeking a wide range of genres and experiences.”
