E-commerce and cloud computing giant Amazon (AMZN) is scheduled to announce its first-quarter 2026 earnings on Wednesday, April 29. The stock has gained more than 14% so far this year, largely driven by the continued expansion and AI integration within AWS. Wall Street expects Amazon to report EPS (earnings per share) of $1.63, reflecting 2.5% year-over-year growth. Meanwhile, revenue is projected to rise about 14% to $177.27 billion.

Market sentiment remains highly positive, with several top Wall Street analysts maintaining their Buy ratings ahead of the release. Institutional interest has also ramped up, as seen with Cathie Wood’s recent activity. Through ARK Invest, Wood added 280,450 shares of Amazon on Friday, a trade valued at approximately $71.5 million.

With Amazon stock back in focus ahead of earnings, it’s worth taking a closer look at who owns AMZN stock. Now, according to TipRanks’ Ownership Tool, public companies and individual investors own 54.25% of Amazon.
