Quantum Machines
Quantum Machines has raised $281 million to date, with its most recent funding round closing at $170 million in February 2025. Based in Israel, the company develops orchestration hardware and software that control quantum processors across various platforms. Many research institutions and labs already use the OPX platform and QUA programming language. Unlike qubit developers, Quantum Machines focuses on making quantum systems run efficiently at scale, enabling faster experimentation and early commercial use. Its tech plays a central role in many global quantum deployments and partnerships. With its growth and position in the value chain, Quantum Machines is often mentioned as a future IPO candidate.
QuEra Computing
QuEra is one of the most visible players in neutral-atom quantum computing. The company raised $230 million in February 2025, including new investment from Google (GOOG), SoftBank (SFTBY), and Valor Equity Partners. QuEra runs the largest publicly accessible neutral-atom system, available through Amazon’s (AMZN) Braket platform. Its 256-qubit Aquila system is already in use by Fortune 500 firms and top research institutions. QuEra follows a hybrid roadmap, combining analog quantum computing for near-term use cases with gate-based systems for future fault-tolerant performance. Based in Boston, QuEra plans to scale its technology to millions of qubits using modular, laser-controlled atom arrays. The company has an expanding customer base and is seen as one of the most commercially ready players in the field.
Alice & Bob
Alice & Bob, based in France, is developing quantum processors using cat qubits, a design that reduces bit-flip errors and lowers the overhead needed for error correction. The company raised $104 million in its 2025 Series B funding round, with backing from Bpifrance, QIA, and AVP. It recently announced a $50 million Paris lab focused on chip development and plans to release a 100-logical-qubit system by 2030. Alice & Bob is also participating in the U.S. DARPA Quantum Benchmarking Initiative and was selected for France’s PROQCIMA procurement program. Its roadmap targets utility-scale fault tolerance with fewer physical qubits.

Outlook
While the public markets remain volatile, these three companies are building toward long-term commercialization with technical depth and strong support. Each gives investors a way to tap into different parts of the quantum computing ecosystem, and could be worth watching ahead of a potential IPO.
