What is Gala?
Gala
Gala, a blockchain based gaming network, was created by Eric Schiermeyer in 2019. The network is focused on blockchain games that give control of the games, as well as in-game assets, back to the players.
Players can vote to decide on the kind of games Gala develops and which games get funded. By owning NFTs, players can take part in the governance of the network, which incorporates a system of three nodes: Proof-of-Work (PoW), Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and Proof-of-Storage. By owning a Gala Node, players can earn GALA coins as well as limited edition NFTs.
Some of the games on the network include Townstar, Superior, Spider Tanks, and Champions. It currently has over 16,000 player run nodes and 1.3 million monthly active users.
