President Trump is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other European leaders today at the White House. Ahead of the meeting, Trump has taken several shots at the media, accusing them of propagating fake news and lies.

“They are ‘STUPID’ people, with no common sense, intelligence, or understanding, and they only make the current R/U disaster more difficult to FIX,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Monday. “Despite all of my lightweight and very jealous critics, I’ll get it done — I always do!”
Trump Bashes the Media as Russia-Ukraine War Hangs in the Balance
In another post, Trump added that the media still wouldn’t be happy if Russia agreed to hand over ownership of Moscow and St. Petersburg to the U.S., saying that the media would find a way to spin the story in a negative manner.
Following last Friday’s meeting with Putin, Trump has communicated to Zelenskyy that Russia is willing to halt its frontline attacks if Ukraine cedes land. However, Zelenskyy has staunchly opposed this condition, leaving negotiations ongoing and the situation unresolved for now.
