President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met at the Mar-a-Lago resort on Sunday, with both sides saying that progress was made in reaching an agreement to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

“I do think we’re getting a lot closer, maybe very close,” Trump said after the meeting, adding that discussions over control of territory were still underway. Zelenskyy added that the pair had a “really great discussion” and the U.S. had offered Ukraine a 15-year security guarantee as part of a peace deal.
Trump, Putin Discuss Ukraine amid Drone Attack Claims
On Monday, Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin through a phone call, with the latter accusing Ukraine of attacking one of his residences with a drone. Putin noted that the attack would affect negotiations with Ukraine.
Zelenskyy denied carrying out such an attack, calling it an attempt to “justify additional attacks against Ukraine” and undermine peace efforts.
