Piper Sandler Stays Bullish on Nvidia
Kumar said his positive view is driven by Nvidia’s continued technology lead, expanding partnerships, and strong software platform. These advantages helped the company deliver 65.22% revenue growth over the past year, strengthening its position in the chip industry.
He also pointed to Nvidia’s valuation, noting the stock trades at about 24.5 times expected earnings over the next 12 months, which he sees as reasonable and supportive of his bullish outlook.
Additionally, Kumar is especially optimistic about Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin rack. He expects Vera Rubin to deliver strong performance gains and begin contributing to revenue in the second half of 2026.
For context, Nvidia offered a clearer view of its Vera Rubin computing platform for AI data centers at CES 2026. Unlike a single chip, Vera Rubin is a full AI system made up of six chips that operate together as one powerful computer, marking Nvidia’s most advanced platform to date and reflecting strong demand from major customers. The company said Vera Rubin is already in production, with the first systems expected to ship in the second half of 2026.
