RBC Capital analyst Anthony Codling lowered the firm’s price target on Vulcan Materials (VMC) to $279 from $286 and keeps a Sector Perform rating on the shares after its Q2 earnings miss amid “weather challenges”. Vulcan offers investors a safe haven however, and the fundamentals for the stock are “very attractive”, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Vulcan needs to deliver a big second half however, and without certainty over the weather, the firm remains at neutral, RBC added.
