Volkswagen (VWAGY) will shut down a Chinese vehicle assembly plant operated with SAIC Motor in Nanjing, Nikkei Asia’s Eiki Hayashi and Tomoko Wakasugi report. The plant, which was built in 2008, had a maximum output capacity of 360,000 units per year.
