President Donald Trump plans to headline a rally on Friday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in order to celebrate the “planned partnership” between Nippon Steel (NPSCY) and U.S. Steel (X), suggesting final approval for the deal could be forthcoming, Reuters’ Alexandra Alper and Jeff Mason report. The president has until next week to make a final decision on the merger, according to the report.
