Truck companies turn away from California’s clean air rules, NYT says

As President Trump’s battle against California’s evnrionmental policies continue, more big truck makers are beginning to turn away from the clear air deal they struck in the state. The deal required truck makers to obey two clean air rules, and, in return, the state softened a rule that requires the sale of cleaner diesel trucks. Truck companies now argue Trump’s actions have undermined the pact and has taken away the state’s right to impose the regulations. Publicly traded companies in the space include Daimler Truck (DTRUY), Paccar (PCAR), and Navistar (NAV).
