As previously reported, Goldman Sachs analyst Robert Cox downgraded Travelers (TRV) to Neutral from Buy with a price target of $304, up from $302. Travelers exclusively writes P&C lines, with an overweight exposure to property and personal insurance exposures relative to peers, notes the analyst, who expects the insurer to report peer-low organic premium growth of about 2.5% and more material core margin compression between 2026 and 2027 amid a softening P&C market. The firm also highlights “particularly meaningful competition” in the Personal Auto and Commercial Property lines.
