Oppenheimer initiated coverage of Sunrise Realty Trust (SUNS) with an Outperform rating and $12 price target The company has a “unique opportunity to rapidly expand” its loan portfolio in the years ahead, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says that unlike many competitors, Sunrise is not dealing with capital constraints related to troubled assets from legacy loans. It believes Sunrise also stands to benefit from the large number of commercial real estate maturities expected over the next few years and its geographic focus on the Southern U.S.
