Susquehanna raised the firm’s price target on Oil States (OIS) to $5.50 from $4.50 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The firm said ahead of the 2Q25 earnings season for the Oilfield Services sector, they have seen some companies provide updates suggesting 2Q profitability will be a bit lower than initially guided, pointing to specific examples of weakness in both US and international markets. While estimates had already been tempered for 2H25 coming out of 1Q25 earnings season, there could still be a bit more downside to estimates as customer plans come more into focus, as the slowdown came perhaps a bit earlier and more aggressively in 2Q25 than some of the companies had anticipated.
