Netlist (NLST) announced that a jury verdict in the Federal District Court for the Central District of California found Samsung (SSNLF) materially breached the Joint Development and License Agreement signed by the parties in November 2015. As the largest memory manufacturer in the world, Samsung faces significant exposure from its tens of billions of dollars in annual memory revenue. In April 2023 and November 2024, Netlist received jury awards for the willful infringement of its patents against Samsung and was awarded $303M and $118M in damages, respectively. This brings total damages awarded to Netlist against Samsung to date to $421M.
