Loop Capital analyst Anthony Chukumba keeps a Buy rating and $18 price target on National Vision (EYE) following the firm’s deep dive into the company’s managed vision care – MVC – opportunity. The management’s ‘s newfound strategy of “upselling” MVC customers to more fully maximize their insurance benefits will be a multi-year comparable store sales growth and EBITDA margin expansion driver, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Loop adds that initiative is not expected to be particularly risky given the fact MVC customers already account for about 40% of National Vision’s sales.
