Kalshi announced in a post to its blog that the company is now offering markets on college and professional sports. Kalshi adds in its post: “We’re not a sportsbook. We’re an exchange. That means we’re regulated, at the federal level, by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. As such, we are 100% legal everywhere in the US, including Washington, DC and other US Territories. Hell, if you happen to be in Guam or American Samoa, we’ve still got you covered.” Publicly traded companies in the casino and sports betting space include Boyd Gaming (BYD), Caesars (CZR), Churchill Downs (CHDN), DraftKings (DKNG), Flutter Entertainment (FLUT), Gan Limited (GAN), Genius Sports (GENI), Las Vegas Sands (LVS), MGM Resorts (MGM), Penn Entertainment (PENN), Rush Street Interactive (RSI), Sportradar (SRAD) and Wynn Resorts (WYNN).
