In an order issued in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, a judge wrote in part: “As extensively detailed in my June 25, 2025 Opinion, this case involves a whistleblower’s now-proven Medicare fraud claims against Caremark, a pharmacy benefits manager… I will treble actual damages to $285,000,000, award civil penalties totaling $4,873,500, and enter final judgment against the Caremark Defendants in the amount of $289,873,500.”
