Jefferies says that the firm’s review of Dormify’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy court docket reveals Williams-Sonoma (WSM) could be one step closer to acquiring the intellectual property assets of the college gear & dorm decor DTC biz after emerging as the top bidder in late April. This potential deal is small in scale, but is a testament to CFO Jeff Howie’s disciplined approach to M&A with clear guardrails in place to ensure a high ROI, Jefferies says. Williams-Sonoma has not commented on this potential transaction. The firm reiterates a Buy rating on Williams-Sonoma with a price target of $208.
