HSBC (HSBC) has told UK-based retail bank staff that their bonuses may be reduced if they fail to appear in office frequently enough, Bloomberg’s Harry Wilson and Meg Short report, citing people familiar with the matter. The bank notified employees at its HSBC UK division, which handles its British retail and domestic commercial banking businesses, that workers who aren’t meeting its work-in-office mandate of a minimum of three days a week may end up being paid less.
