Globalstar (GSAT) announced the commencement of construction of additional gateway infrastructure at its existing ground station in Bihoro, Japan. The company stated this strategic expansion begins the rapid growth of its mobile satellite services throughout Asia. The new infrastructure is required to support its third-generation C-3 mobile satellite system and its existing constellation. Globalstar previously purchased the land and commissioned the first installation in June 2024.
