General Motors probing air bag explosion in recalled pickup truck, WSJ says

General Motors (GM) and federal auto regulators are investigating the crash of a pickup that injured a passenger after its air bag ruptured, The Wall Street Journal’s Ryan Felton reports. GM and regulators are examining what happened when a passenger in a GM pickup was injured by the improper deployment of the truck’s air bags during a collision, people familiar with the matter said. The GMC Sierra pickup, from the 2010 model year, originally used air bags made by the firm Takata that have been recalled, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
