General Motors eliminates over 200 salaried jobs in Detroit, WSJ reports

General Motors (GM) is cutting over 200 salaried positions at its tech center in suburban Detroit, the Wall Street Journal’s Christopher Otts reports, citing a company spokesman. GM eliminated a number of computer-aided design positions as part of a restructuring of its design engineering team, which comes as the automaker looks to offset tariff costs and electric vehicle losses.
