Mizuho raised the firm’s price target on First Solar (FSLR) to $278 from $275 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. The firm says the One Big Beautiful Bill will shape the clean energy sector for years to come. The bill sunsets solar and wind tax credits faster and requires projects to start construction within the next year to get full tax credits, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Mizuho believes compliance might get tougher with new Treasury guidance expected within 45 days. Post the bill, Mizuho prefers domestic upstream manufacturers and residential leasing over utility solar developers and balance of system manufacturers.
