ExxonMobil plans to close a chemicals plant in Scotland and lay off 200 employees due to difficult market conditions and the policy environment in the U.K., Jamie Smyth of The Financial Times reports. The company has unable to find a buyer for the plant. An additional 250 contractors working for other companies at the facility will also be impacted by the closure.
