Argus analyst Bill Selesky is raising the firm’s 2025 EPS estimate for Exxon Mobil (XOM) to $6.46 from $6.24 to reflect second-quarter results that beat the firm’s estimate. The stock trades at a more than 50% discount to the broader market, which is almost double historical levels, despite offering a 30%-40% higher earnings growth rate than the S&P 500 and its Energy sector peers, notes the analyst, who calls recent weakness a “buying opportunity.” The firm has a Buy rating and $127 price target on Exxon shares.
