RBC Capital analyst Shelby Tucker notes that while the Executive Order on clean energy to enforce the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which provides additional detail on how President Trump plans to try and further curtail renewable energy tax credit spending, does not come as a huge surprise following commentary from members of the House Freedom Caucus last week, it also expects the sector to be pressured as the order leaves the solar industry in another state of limbo while it waits for updated Treasury interpretation. The exact guidance on how the Trump administration is looking to redefine “beginning of construction” is still unclear however, the firm added. Publicly traded companies in the space include Array Technologies (ARRY), Canadian Solar (CSIQ), Complete Solaria (SPWR), Emeren (SOL), Enphase Energy (ENPH), FTC Solar (FTCI), First Solar (FSLR), JinkoSolar (JKS), Maxeon Solar (MAXN), Shoals Technologies (SHLS), SolarEdge (SEDG) and Sunrun (RUN).
