BMO Capital analyst Phillip Jungwirth raised the firm’s price target on EQT Corporation (EQT) to $47 from $40 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares after meeting with its management. The company is “one of the most interesting stories in E&P”, with share price weakness post Equitrans Midstream (ETRN) acquisition providing an attractive entry point, the analyst tells investors in a research note. EQT’s improved cost structure provides resilience and upside optionality through the natural gas cycle, while data center/AI provide a “thematic element for the story”, BMO added.
