Stifel lowered the firm’s price target on Emcor (EME) to $503 from $514 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Q1 results were better than expected on both the top and bottom lines and 2025 guidance was largely reiterated except EPS which was adjusted slightly higher at the low-end, notes the analyst, who believes maintaining guidance this early in the year given ongoing macro uncertainty was “appropriately prudent.” The firm believes the share price reaction was driven by a combination of factors, including heightened expectations following strong results from a direct peer and expectations for a bump in revenue guidance and some uncertainty regarding the drivers of the 2025 EPS guidance increase.
