BofA says Disney (DIS) “reported a solid start to the fiscal year” with revenue, operating income and EPS above the firm’s expectations. In addition, press reports suggest Josh D’Amaro is likely to be announced shortly as the next CEO, the analyst noted. Succession has been an overhang on the shares recently and given the importance the Experiences segment has to total consolidated earnings, the firm believes this news will be “well received by the investment community.” BofA has a Buy rating and $140 price target on Disney as of the time of the start of the company’s fiscal Q1 earnings call.
