Delta replaces engine units on Airbus jets to stem toxic fume events, WSJ says

Delta Air Lines (DAL) is replacing power units on over 300 of its Airbus (EADSY) aircraft in order to address cases in which toxic fumes have leaked into the air supply, creating health and safety risks for passengers and crew, the Wall Street Journal’s Benjamin Katz reports, citing a Delta spokesman. The company is roughly 90% through the process of upgrading the engines on its Airbus A320 jets and the move comes as fume events have been surging in recent years leading to brain injuries and other illnesses for crew and passengers.
