Barclays analyst Andrew Lazar expects weakness in shares of J.M. Smucker (SJM) on the open following the company’s fiscal Q4 report. Smucker’s fiscal 2026 guidance calls for earnings per share in the $8.50-$9.50 range, well below the current consensus of $10.28 and notably an 11% year-over-year decrease at the midpoint, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Even excluding the anticipated 25c tariff impact, the company’s earnings would still fall well below consensus, says Barclays. The firm has an Equal Weight rating on the shares. The stock in premarket trading is down 6% to $104.72.
