Circana analyst Mat Piscatella said that Nintendo’s (NTDOY) “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” was the top-selling physical video game for the week ending January 17 in terms of both unit sales and total dollars in the U.S., up from 27th in dollars the prior week. The news follows the newest free update for the game, as well as the paid Switch 2 Edition upgrade, both of which launched last week. The title first launched exclusively for the first Switch in March 2020.
