Alphabet (GOOGL) (GOOG) is planning to expand its presence in India, possibly taking millions of square feet in new office space in Bangalore, Saritha Rai and Christopher Palmeri of Bloomberg reports. Alphabet has leased one office tower and has purchase options for two others in Alembic City, totaling 2.4M square feet, people familiar with the deal told Bloomberg. If the company takes on all the space, the complex could accommodate 20,000 additional staff, the people added.
