Daniel Kutz has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight Schlumberger’s strong financial performance and strategic positioning. The company’s second-quarter results exceeded expectations in key areas such as revenue, EBITDA, and EPS, demonstrating the resilience of its diverse portfolio even in a challenging macroeconomic environment. Schlumberger’s guidance for the second half of 2025 remains robust, supported by contributions from the acquisition of ChampionX, which is expected to drive significant revenue growth.
Moreover, the integration of ChampionX is anticipated to enhance Schlumberger’s capabilities in production chemicals and artificial lift, offering resilience and growth potential through economic cycles. The deal is projected to be accretive to earnings per share and margins by the fiscal year 2026, backed by targeted synergies. Additionally, Schlumberger’s momentum in its digital business and its strategic divestitures further strengthen its market position, making it a compelling investment opportunity according to Kutz.

In another report released on July 27, Jefferies also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $51.00 price target.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 66 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of SLB in relation to earlier this year.
