Stan Berenshteyn has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that create a favorable risk/reward profile for Omnicell. He sees a strong chance that the Supreme Court will invalidate the IEEPA-related tariffs, which currently impose substantial additional costs on the company’s China-sourced products and meaningfully depress 2025–2026 EBITDA. A ruling that removes these tariffs and triggers refunds on past payments would directly enhance profitability and cash flow, supporting a higher valuation. In addition, prediction markets implying roughly three-in-four odds of a favorable decision further reinforce his conviction that this earnings uplift is likely rather than speculative.
Berenshteyn also highlights potential upside from a possible robotics-focused presidential executive order that could encourage innovation, lower regulatory friction, and generally improve sentiment around automation providers such as Omnicell, whose IV compounding and central pharmacy robots represent a notable share of product revenue. On the fundamental side, he believes the company’s bookings may have already troughed in 2025 and anticipates a return to positive growth in 2026, aided by easier comparisons, momentum in the XT Amplify & Extend offering, and the launch of the new XT Titan dispensing cabinet. In his view, the combination of likely tariff relief, prospective policy tailwinds, and an impending inflection in bookings sets up multiple catalysts for earnings expansion and multiple re-rating, justifying a Buy rating and a higher price target.
In another report released on December 19, Piper Sandler also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $63.00 price target.
