Mark Mahaney has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, primarily focusing on the monetization potential of WhatsApp and the strengthening position of Meta’s core business segments. Mahaney highlights the accelerating revenue growth and potential operating margin expansion within Meta’s core operations, which are seen as fundamentally improving.
Furthermore, Mahaney underscores the significant opportunity presented by WhatsApp, projecting it to potentially generate $40 billion in revenue by 2030, contributing substantially to Meta’s earnings. He also notes that Meta is well-positioned to capitalize on the AI Leader opportunity, supported by a strong online ads market, user engagement growth, and effective execution. These elements, combined with new growth opportunities in areas like Threads, Meta AI, and Facebook Marketplace, reinforce the Buy rating, even for those not solely focused on Super Intelligence advancements.
In another report released yesterday, Rosenblatt Securities also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $1,117.00 price target.
Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 287 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is positive on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders buying their shares of META in relation to earlier this year.
