John Todaro has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that materially enhance Hut 8’s value proposition and earnings visibility. He highlights that the company has secured a highly favorable long-term lease structure, including triple-net terms, solid rental economics, a Google-backed commitment over the full lease period, and an additional leasing option, all on a realistic development schedule that supports strong execution. In his view, this agreement is an important signal that large hyperscale customers are now willing to sign contracts on terms that are increasingly advantageous to infrastructure partners like Hut 8, suggesting a supportive industry backdrop and potential for further similar deals.
Using a conservative discounted cash flow framework, Todaro estimates that the cash flows from the newly contracted capacity alone justify a value of about $19 per share, even when assigning no terminal value to the River Bend site. When he layers in a modest terminal valuation multiple on net operating income, his analysis supports an equity value closer to $50 per share from this lease line of business. He further argues that this is still conservative because it excludes the intrinsic worth of Hut 8’s core bitcoin mining operations, its digital asset holdings, its stake in ABTC, and the high-performance computing growth pipeline. Incorporating these incremental components into his consolidated model, he reaches a 12‑month price target of approximately $60 per share, which underpins his Buy recommendation.
According to TipRanks, Todaro is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 56.4% and a 59.38% success rate. Todaro covers the Financial sector, focusing on stocks such as Robinhood, Gemini Space Station, Inc. Class A, and TeraWulf Inc.
In another report released today, Piper Sandler also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $74.00 price target.
