Jon Windham has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors including Fluence Energy’s focus on enhancing profitability and the potential for increased demand for battery storage hardware, particularly in data center applications. Despite these positive aspects, there are concerns about execution risks related to scaling up production in the U.S. and Vietnam, which temper the overall outlook.
Additionally, while the company’s order book growth and guidance for FY2026 highlight strong demand, ongoing production delays at U.S. facilities present challenges. The price target has been raised to $22, reflecting a higher growth rate and improved visibility of gross margin compared to peers. The valuation now aligns with the average 2026 EV/EBITDA multiple of similar energy storage and renewable companies, acknowledging the expected growth in energy storage installations.
In another report released yesterday, Citi also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $20.00 price target.
