Hamed Khorsand has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight Garrett Motion’s advantageous position in the evolving automotive market. The company is poised to benefit from the increasing consumer demand for battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which has been particularly strong in North America and is showing signs of growth in Europe as well.
Furthermore, Garrett Motion’s strategic development of products tailored for the plug-in hybrid market is expected to bolster its sales. Despite not altering estimates for the third quarter, Khorsand has slightly increased the projections for the fourth quarter of 2025 and the full year of 2026. This adjustment in the 2026 adjusted EBITDA supports the potential for the stock to achieve the revised price target of $18, up from the previous target of $14.
In another report released on September 19, Stifel Nicolaus also initiated coverage with a Buy rating on the stock with a $17.50 price target.
Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 86 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of GTX in relation to earlier this year.
